Bandhan Mutual Fund started its business on March 13, 2000. It is among the largest mutual fund houses in India's domestic market. On the Assets under Management (AUM) side, it is a top player. 

It has assets of 1,37,193.31 crores as of 31st March 2024.

In April 2022, Bandhan, in partnership with GIC from Singapore and ChrysCapital, acquired the IDFC Asset Management Company. After that, in March 2023, the name of IDFC Mutual Fund was changed to Bandhan Mutual Fund.

Bandhan can be a new name for mutual funds, but it is already doing very well in the Indian financial market.
