Fident Asset Management PMS is a boutique Portfolio Management Services (PMS) provider in India that focuses on long-term equity investing through a research-driven and high-conviction approach. It is designed primarily for High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs) who seek customised equity portfolios rather than standard mutual fund products.
Founded by experienced market professionals, including Aishvarya Dadheech (a former fund manager at Ambit Asset Management PMS), Fident Asset Management has positioned itself as an alpha-focused investment firm built on disciplined stock selection and fundamental research. The firm operates with a philosophy centered on identifying high-quality businesses with sustainable growth potential and strong management integrity.
At the core of Fident’s investment framework is its “GEMS” philosophy—focusing on four key pillars: Growth runway, Capital efficiency, Management competence, and Sensible valuation. This approach helps the PMS identify companies that can deliver long-term wealth creation while managing downside risk effectively. The investment style is bottom-up, meaning each stock is analysed individually rather than purely relying on sector trends.
Fident Asset Management currently offers two primary PMS strategies. The first is FAIR (Fident All-Season Resilient Portfolio), which follows a flexicap approach and aims to perform across different market cycles. The second is FIBER (Fident India Builder Equity Portfolio), a thematic strategy that focuses on small and mid-cap companies benefiting from India’s structural growth story.
The firm typically maintains a concentrated portfolio, often investing in a limited number of high-conviction stocks. This allows deeper research into each holding and a stronger alignment with long-term performance outcomes. However, it also means that returns can be more volatile compared to diversified mutual funds.
As a PMS provider, Fident follows SEBI regulations and caters mainly to investors with a minimum investment threshold (generally ₹50 lakh and above), as required for PMS offerings in India. The portfolios are managed on a discretionary basis, meaning the fund manager makes buy and sell decisions on behalf of clients.
In terms of scale, Fident Asset Management is a relatively emerging PMS player in India, managing assets in the range of around ₹160–180 crore and serving a small, focused client base.
Overall, Fident Asset Management PMS appeals to investors who prefer active management, concentrated equity exposure, and a strong emphasis on research-driven stock selection. It is best suited for long-term investors who are comfortable with higher volatility in exchange for the potential of superior returns compared to broader market indices.
