Ashish Shanker

Ashish Shanker is Deputy Managing Director at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth Management(MOPWM) encompassing Family Office Mandates, Product & Research, Financial Planning and Investment Strategy. He has been associated with MOPWM for over eight years and is instrumental in evolving the proprietary 4C framework for selecting equity and fixed income managers in India. He is the author of the monthly research publication “Alpha Strategist”. As an official spokesperson, he appears regularly on leading business media channels to give his views on markets and investments. He has also authored several articles on investments, capital markets and economic outlook in several leading dailies and financial publications.

Ashish is a Management Graduate from the University of Bangalore and has completed the Senior Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. In his stint with Standard Chartered Private Bank as Head of Investments and as Senior Director at Sarasin Alpen, India he has won many accolades in these organizations. His over decade long experience prior to joining MOPWM in various domains of financial planning, products & advisory and wealth management has bestowed upon him a strong understanding of subject matter and research acumen.
